Since it's been two weeks since my brother's accident, I should update on his condition. He spent a few days in the hospital and was released. His spleen appears to have stopped bleeding but his right shoulder is still pretty beat up. He's attending physical therapy three days a week for it and is supposed to see a specialist next week to consider surgery. The truck still sits in a towing service impound lot. They are charging more than twice the allowed charge for towing and storage so my brother, and father wouldn't you know, are firing off letters to various city officials bringing to light the criminal activity. Lessons learned from this whole ordeal: drive safely, wear your seat belt, be thankful for today and never let the police department call a tow truck for you.
