My favorite activity of last weekend's visit to the country was losing track of time while sitting around the fire pit. We started mid-afternoon and finally went inside a little before 6. Four nearly four hours I had no idea what time it was and I didn't care. Here, Keith begins to prepare the fire under the watchful eye of Boots.


Taylor, a little too eager to help, nearly lands in the fire pit as Keith starts the fire.


I handheld this slow shutter to capture the roaring flames. The cool weather made the fire enjoyable.


Keith helps Savannah break a fallen stick before adding it to the fire.
