Goin' Country - Pop's Birthday Weekend
We spent the past weekend at Anderson Ranch in Elk County celebrating Pop's 75th birthday. The boat is a popular attraction. Here, Mom and Keith take Taylor and Savannah for a ride around the lake.
Savannah holds her nose while wearing an over-sized life jacket as she runs off the end of the fishing dock.
We took a chance and brought Harley with us. Usually, she'd stay with her other grandparents but everyone was disappointed that we didn't bring her last time. I must say, we were completely surprised at how well she did. She took a couple of dips in the lake, on accident, but had a blast running full spend to dry off.
She got along great with Boots, too, but just couldn't keep up. I love this photo because Harley is smiling. Harley is a happy pooch, but she doesn't smile very much.
Harley loves to sit on our laps. Boots loves to sit on Brent's. It must be a dog thing.
Gramma Karen hangs on to Savannah as they nearly fall out of the truck while on the loop.
What's the loop? It's a three-mile off-road path around Anderson Ranch. There are a few gates along the way to control access to the property.
Four generations enjoy the ride.
Pop turned 75 today but we celebrated over the weekend. Notice Harley trying to get in on the action.
The sunset wasn't as spectacular as I'd hoped it would be. But, after learning to use manual kelvin settings on my D300's white balance controls, I was able to make a fairly stunning sunset photo featuring Taylor fishin' on the dock. I got lucky to catch this.
So ... when can we go back?!!
