"We wanna pitcher, not a belly itcher!"

Angie and I went to Taylor and Savannah's baseball game tonight. It was all I looked forward to all day long. It's been a long week at work. But, it's been an even longer week for Brent and Tori, who've been sitting at the Wesley PICU with their infant son who's battling bacterial meningitis. There's been good days and worse days. Today was both so even though I'm sure it was hard for Brent and Tori to be away from the hospital, it was good to see them out at the game. Brent pitches for their team and the other parents on the team really admire him. I do, too, but couldn't help but think of that chant I used to repeat when I was a Little Leaguer when Angie told me Brent was a pitcher.

Brent takes some extra time helping Savannah with her batting stance. I shot this and quickly moved to the other side.

And I'm glad I did because the look on Savannah's face is priceless! Something tells me she might be one-and-done for baseball.

Taylor, on the other hand, is pretty darn good! He ripped a double on his last at bat.

One of the other moms/coaches on the team saw me shooting and asked for me to shoot a team photo since tonight was the team's last game. We shot a more serious (as serious as 6-year-olds can be) team photo then I made a quick snap as they goofed off for another camera.

BIG hugs to Tori & Brent! We've been thinking about you a LOT this past week here in Salina ... and I'm glad to see you were able to squeeze in a game. The kids are adorable, as always!

ps-sorry Mike, it's JUST me again! ;-)

Karen, you know me too well!
