Not to be left out!

We stopped by Nan and Pop's house tonight. Not to be outdone by her little sister, Harley was quick to claim Nan's lap as soon as Maddie went back to her mommy. Click here to see Maddie hangin' out with Nan.

Poor Harley

We're still not entirely sure how Harley feels about having a sister. She doesn't seem overly protective and she keeps a respectable distance, for the most part, only giving her one tiny puppy-kiss a few days ago. She still gets real excited to go for walks and car rides but seems to pout when we're just hanging out at home. Tonight she hung out on our bed for awhile as we were putting away some laundry. I told Angie tonight that I feel sorry for Harley. As humans, we're able to process and rationalize the new addition to our family. For the dog, we just came home one day with someone who had never been here before and to this point doesn't show any signs of leaving! And sometimes I think the more attention we try to show Harley, the more she pretends to be upset about the whole thing.
Or, maybe this is just a cute photo that I'm reading too much into. ;)

Happy Heart Day

I made dinner for Angie tonight and we ate in front of the fireplace while watching a couple of romantic comedies. Her special prize was a vase full of chocolates and three roses, one for each Valentine's Day that we've been married. Awwwww!

Crashed out

Believe it or not, there was once a time when we tried to keep Harley off the furniture. You can see how well that worked out! The other night the girls crashed out on the sofa together. Harley might have stolen Maddie's blankie but at least she's teaching her how to take a great nap!
