12.26.10 - Christmas portrait

This is the only one who will sit still long enough (while looking into the light) for me to get a portrait of her. You think Maddie or Nate will sit still for more than two seconds? Ha!

12.24.10 - Christmas makes a puppy tired

After a LONG day (and night) of Christmas festivities, we found Harley sound asleep on her favorite Christmas blankie.

12.21.10 - Hi, Dad. Remember me?

I've told myself since the day Maddie was born that Harley would be just as big a part of our lives and household as she ever was. But, as one kid has turned to three, there are days when I feel like Harley is just "the dog." And that's really not fair to her because she was so much more than that for the first few years we had her. She still gets a few treats and gets to sleep in the bed a couple of nights each week but gone are daily walks and good, quality cuddle time on the sofa. No, we're the parents of toddlers now. Sorry, Harley. But, I digress. As I was working late on the computer last night, Harley came downstairs to pay me a visit. There she sat, looking up longingly at me as if to say, "remember me?"
Break. My. Heart. :(
