Crouching Tiger, Hidden Harley

The new Petco opened near our house recently so we stopped by tonight after dinner. We were disappointed, however, that there weren't any grand opening specials. So instead, we went next door to SuperTarget (as though we need an excuse to go there) to get Bootsie some more food. We also picked up a large Kong for her. Harley tried to sneak attack.

Of course, Boots is very protective of anything that belongs to her.

Boots loved the Kong much more than she loved the bones from a couple of days ago. Harley likes to roll on her back. Boots likes to stretch out.

Tonight is probably the last night we'll be keeping Boots. Her mom and dad should be back home tomorrow.

Trading Bones

We've been dog-sitting for a little more than two weeks now and we've grown quite attached to Boots. Our routine had been to go over each night for a walk before putting her in the garage for the night. Then, we'll go let her back out to her dog run each morning. But it's been so hot the past few days that even after 9 p.m. it's still too hot in Brent and Tori's garage for us to feel comfortable putting Boots in there. So last night we discovered that her crate fits in the Camry's back seat. We brought Boots over to our house (Harley loves the company!) and she spent the night in her crate just inside our front door. Tonight, at Dillons, we bought size-appropriate bones for each of the dogs.

Or so we thought.
